Committed to his community, Steven provides pro bono IP legal services for several clients and has been a regular fundraiser and participant in community theatre for charity, soliciting sponsorships and appearing in the annual Nightwood Theatre Shows.
Steven is also committed to the future of Cassels, serving as a resource for IP law and providing training at all levels, from incoming clerks to new partners. He is also an active member of the firm’s LGBTQ2S+ affinity group, an LGBTQ2S+ mentor to incoming articling and summer students, and a panelist at Bay Street’s “firm hop” for prospective LGBTQ2S+ law students.
