Daniel Zuniga’s unique talents as a trusted business advisor combined with his exceptional legal abilities allow him to expertly deal with the intricacies of building businesses from scratch – leading emerging companies confidently through both successes and struggles. For this work, Dan is the only lawyer in Alberta recognized for his expertise working with startups and emerging companies by Chambers Canada.
Outside of work, Dan devotes his time to emerging companies in Alberta, supporting multiple organizations, including Avatar Innovations, C100 Association, Creative Destruction Lab, and the U of T Entrepreneurship Program.
In recognition of his niche expertise and skills within the firm, Dan was named the Chair of the firm’s High Growth & Venture Capital Group at Cassels. In this role, he created the Cassels High Growth & Venture Capital Program, a program designed to be an investment of time and money by Cassels in the early stages of high-growth companies, with the view of developing a long-standing partnership as the companies grow.
