Liza is the managing partner of Sampson Davie Fane Volpiana LLP, a commercial real estate boutique which she founded together with three other partners in 2021. Her practice involves all aspects of commercial real estate, including the acquisition, financing, leasing, development, and sale of residential, industrial, office, and retail properties for local, national, and international clients. She has extensive experience advising clients at all stages of the development process – from rezoning through to building occupancy. She has worked on a number of complex phased and mixed-use developments for some of Canada’s leading residential and commercial real estate developers. Liza believes strongly in ensuring that all members of her team are utilized in the best way possible and prides herself on her ability to provide timely, cost-effective top-notch legal services to her clients. Dedicated to helping shape the legal practice of her juniors, she has consistently been involved in student recruiting and continues to mentor up-and-coming articling students, paralegals, and associates. She has been recognized by Chambers Canada and The Best Lawyers in Canada for her real estate practice. She was called to the BC Bar in 2013.
