Admitted as a member of the Insolvency Institute of Canada in 2024, Guillaume regularly publishes thought leadership to share insights honed through his unique experiences. He is President of the Canadian Bar Association – Quebec Branch – Insolvency Section and a member of the Executive Committee. In recent years, he’s also served on the boards of the Turnaround Management Association (Montreal Chapter), Des mots d’la dynamite Theatre Company for Children, and Friends of the Botanical Gardens of Montreal.
Guillaume Michaud forged his practice during the 2008 economic crisis, becoming Norton Rose Fulbright Canada’s Head of Insolvency and Restructuring in 2024.
Guillaume practises all aspects of insolvency law (including litigation), with a particular emphasis on developing the distressed mergers and acquisitions space. His work involves key leadership roles on files such as Taiga Motor Corp, Lion Electric Company, Stornoway Diamonds, Tergeo Critical Minerals, Lithion Technologies, SSense, and other headline-making cases.
